I completely understand my vote not only affects District 4 constituents, but it also has an impact on all El Pasoans. My positions on pending legislation and city policies influences opportunities for education, professional and business development. For example, as part of the recent budget process City Council increased funding for the library and a program permitting working-age residents to complete their high school diplomas. Additionally, City Council allocated increased funds for a tuition assistance program for city employees seeking advanced degrees.

Along with my fellow City Representatives, I met with the Chamber of Commerce, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and various other agencies advocating for businesses to resource programs assisting small businesses throughout El Paso. Having viable, thriving small businesses increases opportunities for employees and their families and heightens the prosperity of District 4 and the region.

I will continue to work with you to set the conditions for improved opportunities today and for our future generations.
